Clearwood Community,
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who responded swiftly and worked tirelessly last night to protect our neighborhood. Your dedication and courage are deeply appreciated.
Last night was a powerful reminder of how quickly emergencies can arise. We encourage all residents to take a moment to reflect on your household’s preparedness. Consider what worked well and what could be improved should a similar situation occur in the future.
To support your efforts, we’ve created a Fire Preparedness page on the Clearwood website. It includes valuable resources and guidance—please take advantage of them.
Some have asked why the HOA didn’t enforce evacuations or ensure individual safety. It’s important to clarify: the HOA’s role is not to direct emergency actions. Each person is responsible for their own safety and decision-making during emergencies. That said, we are committed to doing our part by:
1. Sharing timely safety information
2. Coordinating with local authorities
3. Unlocking gates for emergency access (as we did last night)
4. Activating our emergency phone call system when needed
