The Clearwood office was closed today due to a potential health concern that required immediate mitigation. A Community Member suggested to staff they may be ill and had just returned from China. After repeated attempts to reach this person failed, authorities were contacted, which included the Sheriff and Department of Health. When contacted by the Sheriff, the member claimed it was a bad joke; the Sheriff will be evaluating the member’s action. This individual’s information is being provided to the DOH and they will contact them as they deem warranted. At this time, it appears to be a poor prank and not a risk. The Administrative Office will remain closed the rest of the day and will resume normal business hours as usual.
