The Bylaws require that all Board members (newly elected and experienced) go through an orientation and training session once a year. It shall include the following:
- Legal and insurance training, including fiduciary responsibilities (provided by the CCA Attorney and Insurance Agent)
- Review of all roles and responsibilities of Board, Committees and Staff
- A thorough review of Association finances including the status of the latest Audit and Reserve Study
- Training on Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised (most current edition), which shall be utilized during all Board and Committee meetings
- Assure that they have signed the Board Member Code of Conduct and Authority on Contracting and submit to the Board Secretary
